There’s a particular kind of ceiling women consultants know all too well.
It doesn’t always come from a boss, an industry, or a lack of opportunity.
Sometimes, it comes from someone telling you what you can’t do.
And if you’re not careful, their doubt can become your own.
Angelica knows that feeling.
Long before she became a business coach, speaker, and marketing strategist, she was simply a girl who loved taking pictures. Her mother was the “camcorder lady” in the family and eventually passed her camera down to Angelica. By around age 10, Angelica was already responsible for capturing the family vacation photos—back when you had to take film to Walmart and wait for it to be developed.
Photography stayed with her.
She attended the University of North Florida, earned a degree in health administration, minored in photography, and spent five years working in the corporate world before realizing it wasn’t where she wanted to stay.
So in 2019, she made the leap into photography full time.
And somewhere along the way, someone from her high school years told her she couldn’t be a photographer—and that she wouldn’t make money doing it.
Angelica decided to prove them wrong.
By her second year, she had built a six-figure business. Today, she leads a team, coaches women, speaks, builds community, and continues creating opportunities on her own terms.
Her story isn’t really about photography.
It’s about what happens when you stop letting someone else’s ceiling become yours.
As women consultants, it’s incredibly easy to look at where you are today and assume that’s the limit of what your business can become.
Maybe your revenue isn’t where you want it.
Maybe your audience is smaller than you’d like.
Maybe your offer isn’t fully refined.
Maybe you’re still figuring out your positioning.
Maybe you haven’t yet attracted the caliber of clients you know you’re capable of serving.
None of that means you aren’t capable of building something extraordinary.
Angelica’s story is a reminder that the version of your business you see today is simply a snapshot—not the final picture.
The question isn’t:
“What does my business look like right now?”
The better question is:
“What am I willing to build next?”
There is a powerful shift that happens when you stop asking for permission.
Angelica didn’t wait until everyone believed in her.
She didn’t need unanimous approval before stepping into entrepreneurship.
She did it scared.
That’s one of the phrases she comes back to again and again:
“Do it scared.”
Because fear doesn’t necessarily mean you’re making the wrong decision.
Sometimes fear simply means you’re making a decision that matters.
And for women building consulting businesses, this distinction is everything.
You can be afraid to raise your prices and do it anyway.
You can be afraid to niche down and do it anyway.
You can be afraid to become more visible and do it anyway.
You can be afraid to leave behind the version of your business that no longer fits and do it anyway.
Confidence doesn’t always come before the leap.
Sometimes, confidence is what you build because you took it.
Glass ceilings don’t always break with one dramatic decision.
Sometimes, they crack through a series of smaller choices.
The decision to speak up.
The decision to show your face.
The decision to stop hiding your expertise.
The decision to charge what your work is worth.
The decision to stop trying to make your business appealing to everyone.
The decision to build a brand that actually reflects the woman behind it.
Angelica’s journey demonstrates this beautifully.
She networked heavily in Jacksonville, putting herself in room after room until people began recognizing her as “the curly girl, the photographer.” Even when people didn’t immediately remember the name of her photography business, they remembered her—her energy, her presence, and her vibe.
That’s brand recognition at its most human.
People remembered Angelica.
And that’s something women consultants should pay attention to.
Your brand is not supposed to make you look like everyone else in your industry.
It’s supposed to make the right people recognize you.
Angelica describes her brand in one sentence:
“My brand is magnetic, energetic, and joyful.”
That’s more than a color palette.
It’s more than a logo.
It’s more than a polished website.
It’s an experience of her.
And that is precisely where extraordinary brands become powerful.
Because your expertise can be replicated.
Your framework can be studied.
Your industry can be crowded.
But nobody can duplicate your combination of perspective, personality, lived experience, energy, values, and vision.
You are the secret sauce.
The goal isn’t to become impossible to compare because you’re doing something nobody else does.
It’s to become impossible to replace because nobody else does it like you.
One of the biggest mistakes women consultants make is trying to build a business based on what appears to be working for someone else.
We see another coach’s offer.
Another consultant’s content.
Another entrepreneur’s launch.
Another woman’s six-figure strategy.
And suddenly we’re questioning our own.
But Angelica’s journey shows the power of leaning into what is uniquely yours.
She doesn’t try to hide the different sides of herself. She can show up polished and glamorous, but she can also show up messy, vulnerable, and real. She shares behind-the-scenes moments inside her Business Church community, including the moments when things don’t go perfectly.
That authenticity creates connection.
And connection creates trust.
For Champagne Clientele, that trust matters.
Premium clients aren’t simply buying information.
They’re buying your perspective.
Your leadership.
Your ability to see what they can’t.
Your confidence in the transformation you’re offering.
Your way of making them feel understood.
Angelica eventually expanded beyond photography into coaching, speaking, education, and community.
But she didn’t have every detail figured out first.
In fact, she openly describes one season of growth as doing things messy. She tried different ideas, experimented with what she wanted to teach, and gave herself permission to figure it out along the way.
That experimentation led to opportunities—including 10 speaking engagements between January and April 2025, with several taking place out of state.
Think about that.
The clarity didn’t necessarily come before the movement.
It came through the movement.
This is a critical lesson for consultants.
You don’t always discover your next level by sitting quietly until you have the perfect plan.
Sometimes you discover it by putting yourself in rooms, testing ideas, having conversations, speaking, selling, creating, and paying attention to what lights you up.
There will always be another reason to wait.
One more certification.
One more website update.
One more course.
One more month of research.
One more round of tweaking your offer.
One more reason why now isn’t quite the right time.
But here’s the uncomfortable truth:
Ready is often a feeling that arrives after you start—not before.
Angelica’s philosophy is simple:
If something doesn’t work, it’s a lesson.
Not a failure.
And that mindset creates movement.
Because when you’re no longer terrified of getting something wrong, you become much more willing to try something bigger.
Your brand should evolve as you do.
The woman who started your business isn’t necessarily the woman who should lead it forever.
Angelica recently closed one chapter by announcing that her retreats would be coming to an end, while leaving the door open for a different kind of experience in the future.
That’s not failure.
That’s evolution.
And sometimes the most extraordinary brand move you can make is admitting:
“This worked for me then. It doesn’t serve me now.”
Your clients deserve the most evolved version of your expertise.
And you deserve a business that supports the woman you’re becoming—not one that traps you in the woman you used to be.
The market doesn’t need another consultant who sounds exactly like everyone else.
It doesn’t need another carefully polished brand with no personality behind it.
It doesn’t need another expert afraid to say what she actually thinks.
Your Champagne Clientele are looking for someone they can trust.
Someone with conviction.
Someone who can lead.
Someone whose energy makes them think:
“Yes. She’s the one.”
That kind of attraction doesn’t come from trying harder to look impressive.
It comes from becoming unmistakably yourself.
Angelica built recognition by showing up as herself—again and again and again.
That’s magnetic branding.
There is something even more powerful than proving your high-school doubter wrong.
Proving yourself right.
Because eventually, the external validation becomes irrelevant.
The bigger victory is looking at the business you’ve built and knowing:
I trusted myself.
I took the risk.
I figured it out.
I kept going.
Angelica puts it bluntly:
“Doubt will kill more dreams than failure ever will.”
Imagine what would change if you stopped allowing doubt to make your business decisions.
What offer would you launch?
What price would you charge?
What room would you walk into?
What message would you finally say out loud?
What kind of clients would you decide you’re ready to serve?
Angelica’s definition of success has changed.
Earlier in her journey, success meant becoming a six-figure earner.
Now?
It’s time freedom and financial freedom.
She also recognizes that not every dollar is worth earning if the cost is your peace, energy, or freedom.
That’s an important distinction for women consultants chasing bigger businesses.
More revenue isn’t automatically more success.
More clients aren’t automatically more success.
More visibility isn’t automatically more success.
The real question is:
Does the business you’re building create the life you actually want?
That’s where uncommon wealth begins.
Not simply with making more.
But with having the freedom to decide what more means to you.
You don’t need to shrink your ambition to make other people comfortable.
You don’t need to soften your expertise.
You don’t need to hide the fact that you want more.
You don’t need to wait until someone else validates your next move.
Your brand should communicate the woman you’re becoming.
The woman who is ready for bigger rooms.
Bigger conversations.
Bigger opportunities.
Bigger impact.
And yes—bigger wealth.
Because your brand isn’t just marketing.
It’s a declaration of what you’re available for.
Maybe someone told you your niche was too small.
Maybe they told you your prices were too high.
Maybe they told you women like you don’t build businesses like that.
Maybe nobody told you anything at all.
Maybe the voice in your head simply learned to repeat every limitation you’ve ever heard.
Either way, you get to choose what happens next.
Angelica’s advice to the woman standing at the edge of her own Luxe Leap?
“Do it scared, girl.”
Because the fear can come with you.
It just doesn’t get to drive.
Angelica’s story is a reminder that extraordinary businesses aren’t built by women who never experience doubt.
They’re built by women who refuse to let doubt make the decisions.
Your next level may not look like anyone else’s.
Good.
It isn’t supposed to.
Your story, your expertise, your energy, your perspective, and your ambition are the ingredients that make your brand impossible to replicate.
So stop asking whether you’re allowed to want more.
Start asking what you’re willing to do to build it.
And if you’re ready to discover what’s working in your brand, what’s holding it back, and what needs to shift to attract the Champagne Clientele you’re ready for, that’s exactly the kind of conversation we love having on The Luxe Leap.
